Mr. Fernando Cardoso Penteado
Agrisus was founded by the agronomic engineer Fernando Penteado Cardoso, who structured the initial endowment of our foundation.
Fernando is known for his role in implementing sustainable agriculture capacity building and training programs for farmers and rural workers focused on knowledge dissemination based on applied research. Even after his death, we continue to carry in our DNA the focus on sustainability to promote the conservation of Brazilian natural resources.
We take care of the soil and the water today to achieve an even more sustainable future.
We were born with a dream to promote the conservation of Brazilian natural resources, boosting the country’s food and energy security.
We believe academic studies have this transformative potential. Since2001, we quickly allocated financial contributions, which proceeds from our independent private Foundation, in the development of applied research and events focused on soil and water health in Brazil.
In order to do so, our team of experts curates projects using strict criteria, with scientific responsibility, to generate practical results in the agricultural productivity.
After all, taking care of the soil and the water today is essential to achieve an even more sustainable future.

What is Agrisus?
A private independent foundation with its own financial resources aiming to support agricultural applied research that promote the recovery and conservation of Brazilian natural resources, potentializing practical and reliable results for soil and water sustainability in Brazil.
Our financial assets, which proceed from an endowment fund and are derived from other sources, are managed with transparency, governance, and pre-defined criteria. Thus, we determine quickly and objectively the financial contributions allocated for each project and establish simple processes for monitoring transfers.
